Oh, it's no different than grandchildren. My mother never did what I asked when she was watching my son ~ because she knew best of course! Guess it's no different with the dogs. This is an age-old battle that can't be won or lost; just try to find a middle ground where you all can meet.
Sometimes it would make me really mad and then I would remember how much they loved their grandson (or granddog) and everything they did for him; and I usually held my tongue.
