He was 7 (6/24) weeks when he got his first DHPP. Then again at 10 weeks (7/15). Those were done by the breeder. Then again today. But today was done by our vet. He is 12 weeks old. Im not sure why they are saying no more at all. We are going up there at 4pm today to get him and to discuss it all in detail. They said he went into shock and had to be given oxygen. I went up there a few hours ago to see how he was doing and he seemed fine. A little groggy but not bad. I am concerned that without anymore vaccines that he will be more suceptible to disease. I did read that with severe reactions they do suggest no more vaccines be given. I also read that it typically happens (the reaction) on the 2nd or 3rd set. I am just happy he is okay now. It could have been much worse. I just am not sure where we go from here. |
