Yes they can. I feed mine amaranth as well. It is high in protein as well as calcium, which these little ones need. Some dogs are allergic to grains though, so I would make sure that yours can tolerate grains before feeding. Quinoa is also a great grain to add in as it is high in calcium and iron as well. I add in small portions into their meat proteins for the added calcium benefits. |
