I am having such a tough time with Tucker that Im kinda at my wits end. I feel so bad for him.
Im having a hard time with his allergies and what to feed him that Im at a loss on what to do anymore. I have him on California Naturals grain free lamb dry ( ingred. consist of lamb, peas, potatoes, sunflower oil then vitamins etc) thier canned lamb and rice (lamb,lamb broth,brown rice,flaxseed, vtimans etc)He eats it ok, not super excited about it, but he eats it. He started scratching agian about 3 days ago, it started out mildily and now its gone full blown again. He is knawing on his legs (not feet) and scratching at his belly and face which seems to be non stop.
He has been on the dry food for about a month, but I just started the canned last week and to try and encourage him to eat a little more, yesterday I added a small amount of scrambled eggs to his canned food that he gets in the a.m.. For the last day or so the itching has gotten worse, but he was itching some before I added the egg. So could it be something in the canned food?? Could it be the lamb itself, the egg the rice?? Ugh.. I dont no what to do. Its not fleas, he is treated regularly and I check all of my dogs on a regular basis, its not the shampoo or evironmental. He stopped scratching when we switched him to a limited diet, I would think that if it was enviromental the scratching would of contiuned after the food change. He has to be on a lower fat, lower protein diet because he has stomach issues also so that doesnt leave much out there that he can eat. Help!!
