Yorkies were origionally bred to be 'ratters' to catch rats down the mines in yorkshire in england
So it is natural for him to act this way.
Most terriers will display this behaviour at some point but yorkies more them most.
I dont know if you can stop him from doing it seen as its natural to him.
A more experienced member will be able to help you more but I would advise you to seperate them.
