I'm the worry queen when it comes to Kasha. I was a wreck the days before her spay & a MESS the whole day of it. She was kept overnight, and while at first I just wanted her home with me ... now I'm glad that she was with someone who was non-emotional and trained to deal with medical issues. I saw her about 5 hours after her spay and she was out of it! By pickup time EARLY the next morning she was about 80% herself (she felt ok enough to LEAP from the Vet Techs arms to see me!) she had 8 teeth pulled and ate kibble the next day. These little ones are stronger than we think!
So, while I too would worry ... don't cancel the surgery! The benefits far outweigh the risks. It's a week or so of worry for a forever peace of mind. Plus I think after that first night they really are ok.
I agree with everyone else ... post op blood work, pain meds, antibiotics & onesies( Kasha is 4lbs and a Newborn size if it helps) are the key to survival for everyone!
*** also I'm sure whats going on the outside is the skin adhesive. We had great luck with this!
