Hi, we just got an 8 week old Yorkie puppy. She hasn't had any shots and since this is our first dog EVER I was wondering when I should take her into the vet for that? She is doing well, eating dry food (Science Diet), goes potty nearly every time I take her outside, and uses her puppy pads in the house (most of the time). I was looking through the forum and it seems like she should have had some shots by now? I didn't buy her from a "breeder" that sells mass quanities of puppies or anything. We got her from a friend who breeds her 2 yorkies every few years. She gave me lots of advice on food, potty training, what toys to buy etc -- but nothing about her health?Any advice would be greatly appreciated. |
