Pixie is the same way. We both leave for work at 7:30am and are back the 5pm. When we walk in the door...it is zoom zoom around the kitchen, dining room and livingroom. Then jump jump jump until we pick her up and she gives a kisses. I believe like another person had said they are just happy to see ya.
