You have to be careful buying bully sticks in stores. If they're not sealed in plastic they could be covered in bacteria. And yes, those do usually have a terrible smell.
I buy mine from two wonderful YT vendors - Baxtersmommy and AMD - you can find their threads in the Products for Sale section. The bullies they smell don't have much odor.
