I was going to suggest a different crate also. She might associate bad memories with the old crate.

I have some that hate to be put to bed, but they never try to bite me and never growl at the crate.

her tryhing to bite you indicates to me that there are other issues also. She does not respect you as pack leader or she would not do that. So I'm suggesting you work on that issue also.
