Default Eddy's dealing with my surgery....kinda

I'm new to this site, but I just wanted to praise my little man for being such a trooper about my surgeries. I'm a person living with cancer, and have been for about 8 years now. I got Edward almost 2 years ago, and I know most people thought it was a bad idea, but I honestly thought he'd help my recovery. And boy has he! Since getting him I've had less neurological attacks and when I do have them he alerts me before they occur so I can lay down. I'm someone that has about a surgery a year, and he's dealt with two now, and it's changed him quiet a bit. This last one more so, I had a limb adjustment surgery...I'm a below the knee amputee, and we removed the tibia and sanded down the fibia. Well, I thought he would level out after I was recovered. He always gets extremely aggressive when I'm not doing well. No one except my mother and father are allowed within our home, cause he thinks they're going to take me away, and he has decided that sleeping on my chest is the best way to keep me in place lol. But now I'm better and his behavior is the same. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas in helping him become a little less protective and more independent from me?
