I agree with the others, and although some people have bought their dogs from online sites, I hope you don't. Right now breeders who sell dogs online have no rules on kennel conditions, only those breeders who sell to pet stores or brokers have rules for kennel conditions, so puppy mills are now selling directly to the public. The ASPCA is trying to make a law that online breeders will have to have dogs listed with the USDA and kennels will have to be inspected, but right now there is no law. Buying online is worse than buying from a pet store! No reputable breeder would sell from a website, they want to get to know you and know if you would make a good match with the breed. Many byb pretend to be interested in puppy placement, but it's an act, and will sell to anyone with the cash. Please only support reputable breeders who are looking out for the future of the Yorkshire terrier breed. Don't support people who are breeding for profit. |
