Excessive licking in Brandi means something is physically wrong with her. She licks me occassionally but when she cannot stop licking, she is trying to tell me something is wrong. Most of the time it's just an upset stomach or gas but there was one occassion where I had to rush her to the emergency vet in our area.

When she starts pacing back and forth (like she can't get comfortable) and won't stop licking me or anything near her, I know to take heed and watch her very closely. I'm am actually kinda of glad that she does. It's almost like an early warning.
