What I've done is keep adding more and more dry food to the canned food with each meal. Sometimes, he gets a little too smart and will pick out the dry food and only eat the canned food. But it does work once in a while!

Rest assured that when he gets really hungry, he'll eat the dry food if that's what's available. Sometimes Miles would boycott his dry food for an entire day. I'd be sure to give him Nutri Cal to keep his blood sugar and calories up, but once he saw that canned food wasn't coming back (and that he was REALLY hungry!), he started to eat the dry food again.
