I went to college there and graduated from Troy in 1989. Student taught in Opp while living in Andalusia. Our pediatrician was Dr. Maddox's brother! He always told me he considered his brother a "real doctor"! I am actually from southwest Alabama but was in the wiregrass for 7 years before moving to Birmingham for 14 years. I moved back to my hometown in 2006 to be near my aging parents.
