Went to the Vet again today for Sunny...Leg is still infected after only 5 days on antibiotics....saw another vet, who also agrees this is a spider bite and quite severe....He pointed out the depth and length of the infection, which is visible to the human eye....they will keep her antibiotics until next Monday, when they will reevaluate...he gave another lotion to help soothe the skin, which is stretched from infective swelling....Sunny must wear a collar and he suggested the soft donut type...which I bought immediately....She is still on pain killers. The vet pointed out how very painful this is for her.....
Poor baby....my goodness, what a terrible thing for her to go through....she looks better, but that leg looks so bad! |
