Am I reading this right? the vet did exploratory surgery before ruling out pancreatitis which can be discovered in a blood test? I sure hope I'm wrong.
If its pancreatitis - then make sure lots of fluids and serve small low-fat meals. Lots of posts on pancreatitis.
Do you need a new vet?
