I skip anyplace that serves or prepares food because of health regulations (I don't want to get them in trouble for my actions). Other than that we've gone to the mall, Barnes & Nobel, Home Depot, Lowes, JoAnn's, Michaels and Best Buy with either Rhett or Scarlett. I'm lucky that both of mine think the carrier is a fun place to be. I do have a couple of "purse only" toys that help keep things interesting for them.
