I've always used my hairdryer to dry them. When Cash was a puppy, he would be in my room while I dry my hair every day. I would turn the nossle on him in a fun game. When the time came for his first bath, he was used to the sound and the feel of the dryer.

I tried to skip the dryer on a hot day during the first few months with Cash. After his bath, I rubbed him down and combed him out, but when I put him on the ground, he got back into my lap. I put him down and he climbed back up. I turned on the dryer and he lay down. That's when I knew that Cash likes the dryer!

I use it on the highest setting because I have a tiny hairdryer and the low setting makes them shiver. After a bath, I rub them down with a dry towel and then I wrap them up in that towel. Cash has learnt to stand on my dressing table, so I just brush and dry him as he tries to sleep on his feet.

During this time, I also do any trimming, ear cleaning, teeth cleaning or nail clipping needed. I also use a detangling spray when I brush out the coat. I use a finishing product and then they get a special treat - I buy the nicest, smelliest, biggest treats for after grooming.

I love the grooming time and I do everything myself. I am too scared a groomer will hurt my doggies
i did the same thing when morgan was a puppy. i made the dryer a game when i was drying my hair. i would let it blow in her face too and make fun playing noises to get her to think it was a fun time. she loves the dryer so much that every morning when i dry my hair she leaps out of bed and comes running over so i can "dry" her first.
