Years ago someone told me never to clean the pee/poop while they are watching you, they think you find it "interesting" if they see you clean up their mess
i dont know how true it is, but thats what i did with my girls while teaching them "potty" unless i caught them "in the act" i ignored the "accident" and cleaned it up afterwards
