I dont think that you are supposed to get on to the puppy after they have done their "business" you are supposed to catch them in the act and then tell them no. Just ignore it if you find something. Actually to tell you the truth I just got a puppy a month ago and she was not trained at all. I trained mine on potty pads and when I first started training her I would tell her no everytime that she went on the floor and then take her immediately to her potty pad and say go potty. Well she was not catching on at all. I got some advice from someone on her that said just to ignore it when they go on the floor, but when they do go on their potty pad then to praise, praise, praise, and give them a treat. Daisy has caught on very good and she goes on her pad about 90 percent of the time. Keep in mind that these puppies sometimes do take awhile to train so just have patience and it will happen before you know it.

I hope that all of this made since to you. Good luck to you and Congrats on your new baby.
