It is made for wood, laminate and tile floors. But the directions do way that your floors need to be sealed properly. So if you have bare wood from wear and tear I would not recommend using ANY water. Maybe you could have them sanded and resealed. If you use it properly you are not putting a huge amount of water on the floors. I've been learning as I got and a little spray goes a long way. When you apply the cleaner then you can spread it around in a small area and suck it back up.
