No, the FloorMate does not heat the water. I start with hot water ~ the tank is pretty small so it stays hot.Steam mops heat the water (there is a BIG difference in how hot tho). I like this better than the steam mop I tried (shark) besides....I'm a little klutzy with steaming hot water
It comes with a Lysol type cleaner but I use vinegar most of the time for several reasons. It cleans well. It neutralizes and potty accidents
. It smells pretty good. It's safe for Sugar. And I'm cheap
My ONLY complaint is it doesn't do a very good job on edges....but neither does a mop, really so I just quickly do those by hand!
