I've been to a few and it varies. What my friends (our usual meetup group) do is we meet at a park and just let the babies play. We've done potluck, and we've barbecued. It really depends. I've also been to a few at someone's home, but honestly, I feel better at a park when I don't know someone. I feel odd walking into someone's house that I've never met before. That's just shy me though.
We typically meet in Torrance, but have met up in Irvine (where I use to live) and we've met up in another part of the OC.
If you have a park in mind that'd be great too.
