I personally believe our pets are way over-vaccinated. I am going to follow Dr. Jean Dodds protocol.

Jackson got all his puppy shots (3 sets-8 weeks, 12 weeks, 16 weeks, then rabies) and then at a little over 1yr old, he got the DHPP booster, a week later he got rabies booster. My vet informed me that those were all good for the next 3yrs. Now, whether or not I vaccinate again in 3yrs... I guess I will decide then. Legally, you've gotta do rabies every 3yrs here, so I can't get out of that one. But the every year stuff just blows my mind. It just seems wayyy excessive in my non professional opinion!
