When I brought home my two Kerry Blue Terriers, it took the mom Shannon (4yo) 2 days - and the son Riley (18 mo) 2 MONTHS (with ALL kinds of incentives) to use the doggy door. Dogs vary, but if you're consistent, they'll get it.
Our Dante (Biewer Yorkie, now 16 weeks, 3 1/2 pounds), still hasn't gone through on his own... but I know that with the incentive of following the big dogs, he will eventually. |
