You are not a bad pet owner because you couldn't afford chemo! Please don't ever think that. Chemo its' self is a nasty process with no guarantee of working and many owners will opt to not go through that with their beloved pets because it can take away from the quality of life.
In letting her go, you chose the most compassionate thing you could do for her. And as Loreli already said, because she went so quickly she was ready to go. I do believe that sometimes they hold on longer than they would otherwise because they are so sensitive to OUR pain. You gave her permission to let go and be free from any more pain, and that was a very loving thing to do.
Cry for her as much as you need. But I promise you that soon you will be able to think of her and smile when you remember the good times with her.
