You are rewarding her begging by giving her a treat. We either put Loki in his crate while we eat or he is usually pretty good and will lay by my feet (in case I drop something) but if he is actively begging he goes to the crate. You could also practice down stays. I will ask him to stay down for like 5 mins while I eat and then he gets a treat. Usually he tries to get up and I have to ask again several times, but we're working on it. For a while Loki would "beg" by just sitting and staring at me, which I actually reward him for because I'd sure rather he do that then try to jump up next to me and steal my food. So even though he is begging, it's in a way that is acceptable to me so I reward him. It's totally your call!
