Default Pippin is home from the vet

We just got in from Pippin's first date with Dr. Jones.

Overall, she seems to be a healthy little girl. I told him that she was only 6 weeks old and 7 ounces when the breeder sold her and he said he was surprised she was still alive.

His main concern is hypoglycemia, because she is so little. But, she was up to 15 ounces! Yay!!

Her fecal was clean. No worms, coccidia or giardia.

He thinks she has earmites, but the scope was too big for him to see into her ear. He also did not want to give her shots today. He wants to wait at least a week and let her settle in here with me. Dr. Jones said if she's still eating well in a week, then he'll do her shots and check her ears more. Until then he doesn't want to do anything that will distress her or throw her little system off. He said it's better to be cautious, since she will be inside and only around my vaccinated pups.

Dr. Jones' wife showed and raised yorkies for many years, so he is very familiar with the breed. I'm so glad I have him to help watch out for my little girl.
