Yes I think you are right, we need to specify that the spotting is to be random and of not particular placement or size or number.
I'm not sure what the judges, that are judging them, are using as a guide, since I am not showing.
Maybe they don't evaluate the color at all. maybe when it comes to color, anything goes.
