Either you want your guy to have a companion to keep him company, or you want to breed....figure out which one is your true desire as they do not exactly go hand in hand.
My advice is, that if you are considering breeding and want to go about it in an ethcial manner, that you find a mentor to work with first, BEFORE you get your female. Breeding ethically is pretty serious business, not something that should be done just for kicks, or for the experience and definately not something you just pick up on as you go. Working with an experience breeder FIRST will give you a front row seat to what you would be getting yourself into and will answer your questions and let you know what to expect way more than any answer on this forum could.
It's a very rewarding endevour if you go about it the right way, and potentially very dangerous if you don't. There have been a few instances of the latter where people 'got in over their head' and had some pretty sad results. Take the time to look over them and consider the possibilities. |
