Do you know what coat type he has? I know for a fact, that no matter what I use, Kaji will never look like a show yorkie. I would probably need a straightener and some chemical relaxers to help with the curls and frizz of his cottony coat.
If you just switched shampoos, give it a few weeks. I hear great things about the products you bought. After a few weeks, and a nightly brushing routine you'll see a difference.
