What kind of booths or events are there that would be welcoming to us non -breeders/ non-show type people? Is it a waste of time for us to even go?
Are us non "show" people/dogs even welcome?
Thanks.
And ooops- it looks like I posted this in the wrong section. Could one of the mods be so kind as to move it to the "show" section? Thanks. |
Yes for sure go. First as suggested there will be lots of vendors there, you might find things for your pet that aren't in the usual pet stores. Maybe ISB or Isle of Dog Shampoo and products being sold, show leads, other types of fancy leads or leashes. Dog beds, etc. I got Razzle's neat 4x4 camping Xpen at a dog show. They will have different kinds of crates etc.
If you need your scissors sharpened often times they will have someone there who really knows what they are doing and is very reasonable too. Oh yes grooming brushes, n combs, maybe CC will have a booth there.
I just love to shop at the shows..my downfall
Try to see more than just the yorkies competing look at all the other toy breeds too. Stay for group if you can. Root for your favourite.
About clapping, it is somewhat standard in the group judging when all the dogs go in for judging, remember this is winners of every breed, that the observers clap. In class judging not so much, but when BOB competition yes.
Have fun talk to lots of folks.
