Try it yourself, really, I give him treats after and he doesn't mind at all now, it's par for the course.
I reeeeally wish I could do his own hair but I'm soo nervous! I'm worried I'll either accidentally hurt him with the scissors or just mess his hair up entirely Kudos to all of you that do your own pup's hair! They all look soo cute and I'm jealous!!

It's good to bring them in around 3-4 months of age for a "hygenic" groom (clean up the bottom, trim nails, trim the hair on the pads of their feet, "tip" the ears, etc...nothing major). This also allows the pup to become familiar with the groomer to make later groomings go more smoothly. As far as how frequently you should take your pup in, most groomers around here say every 6 weeks. I'm probably not going to go that often, more like 8-10 weeks depending on how LuLu's hair grows.
That's actually really helpful thanks, I would like him to have a hygenic groom prior to be cut all over...I'll miss his little puppy look! Thanks I'm going to look into that!!
