Question What can going to a show offer us non-breeders?

I understand that there is a show coming up in Atlanta at the end of August. I would like to go just to see the different dogs. I'd like to learn more about yorkies and agility and all sorts of other things. I've never been to a show, so I'm not sure what to expect.

What kind of booths or events are there that would be welcoming to us non -breeders/ non-show type people? Is it a waste of time for us to even go?
Are us non "show" people/dogs even welcome?

Thanks.

And ooops- it looks like I posted this in the wrong section. Could one of the mods be so kind as to move it to the "show" section? Thanks.
