Our poor little Joey....we had him at the vet last week for diarrhea and vomiting...and he was finally getting to be his old self. (the vet had us switch his puppy food to adult food for more fiber and we gave him some antibiotics)...anyway, yesterday he started (out of nowhere) to dry heave pretty badly. He is really bad at eating things off the floor, so I think he may have eaten something he wasn't supposed to. Anyway, he keeps making these weird dry heaving motions and it sounds like there is almost fluid in his lungs...and last night around 3am he vomited three times, and then he went back to sleep. He was playing this morning and his behavior and demeanor is normal except for the hacking every once in awhile.

To be honest, we really can't afford to take Joey to the vet everytime he has something wrong....we spent $300 last week on him!! (we live in NYC), so I put a call into the vet and am waiting for a call back.

In the meantime, has anyone experienced anything like this? What should we do??
