oh so sorry for your male. the vet showed me a picture of that it looked very painful. Vet also told me you can't always tell the anal glands are full with some dogs, since they show no signs. he said some scoot around on their bums, some chew at themselves (like mine) some stop eating, some won't walk upstairs because of the pain & some just don't show anything. so I know now mine's a "chewer" & if he starts this activity again I'll know right away what his problem is. hope your guy is feeling better
