When this happened to my little guy, Harley, in Dec 2008, our animal control officer took over. She found the owner of the dog, served him papers and took him to court. He eventually agreed to pay my vet bills, the cost of my dog and he is under probation and barred from owning a dog for 2 years. No, it doesn't bring my baby back, but at least he had to undergo some suffering as well. Keep at it, he does not deserve to be able to just walk away from this. |
