Great that you want to try and learn. Showing is lots of hard work but fun too if you like competition. Beyond the lead, get some "bait" that is some small pieces of treats, you can buy a bait bag that clips onto your belt or pocket to make it easier to bring out to reward your doggie for good behaviour.
For now just make sure you wear something with a pocket in it to put the treats in.

Then you can watch the class, maybe "stack" Wolfie on your lap, who by the way looks adorable, and give him his treats.
