I do like the mindless chatter that goes on in this forum. It's fun to sign on YorkieTalk and read some of the cute and funny stories when I'm feeling like crap. and who can forget the priceless moments that our members capture with their cameras?
There are times when I think that some of the more controversial topics are beat to death (most of us know what those topics are already, so there's no need to point them out). The key, like you said, to controversial topics is that the dialogue is mostly respectful and interesting to read. When we start bringing up bullsh*t, that's when things become rude and uninteresting - it just becomes a question of who has a sharper tounge and who can reply first.
I think everyone who can read knows who believes what, who has owned/bred/cared for Yorkies the longest and the best. Personally, I listen to everyone's advice and experiences and weigh them according to how much I know about them, trust them and believe it or not, their spelling and grammar usage. |
Please don't hold spelling and grammar usage against a person. In my instance I make terrible mistakes. I will look at what I have written and can not see with my eyes what is there- I do not see the spelling error or the gramtical error.
I have had Cancer since 2000 and have had numerous radiation treatments to the neck and brain area. The one side effect is that I have cognitive problems. I have parkinson's disease as a result. I may look but the brain and the eyes do not see the same thing. I can not figure out how to do a spell check or a gramtical check on YT. Does this make me less of a person then someone who does not make those kind of mistakes? I hope that I am not wrote off because of that.
