Is there a co-op or farm store near you? We get a poison called "Boot Hill" that works great. It's all I ever use anymore. Of course you can't leave it where your puppies can get into it. I keep it behind a cabinet in the garage because that's where we get mice. Maybe you could put it under your stove. Let me know if you can't find it and I'll send you a couple of packets that I have.
