JMO - Healthy pups/dogs are number one, but
health should also include bone structure/movement, etc.. that comes with going to shows and learning about our standard and having experts judge your dogs. One can have rose color glasses on and really believe that their yorkies are really good representation of the breed and in reality they are not. It is all part of the learning curve. Just rmember me - first time in the ring I thought I had a really nice yorkie...LOL Don't get me wrong, I really loved her (Chrissy), she had the body, but her coat was very sparse. I think back now if I had breed her - what would I have produced. I am glad that I learned and still learning and that comes with not only educating myself through reading but going to the shows and surrounding me with experts in this field. We talk, they talk, I listen.
