hi sorry about your dogs teeth.. isoflurane is safer because it wears off quickly but so does propofol. I would call our vet and ask what he used last time and see what could be done differently this time if anything. my dogs both just had dentals, one is 6 he had 2 teeth pulled, it was his first time needing it i try to brush once a week now i brush daily, the other one i just rescused he is still had baby teeth so they were pulled, but he had the worst teeth i ever saw. Do you brush? I also find that the cet chews work pretty well also, and proden plaque off, Im trying to be more strick with the brushing now, as i dont like to put them under, not to mention 500.00 for a cleaning and pulling just for shaffer. I know its scary to have them put under but its often worse if we dont.
