My dogs are my pets first too. Many of the show people I know - have their show dogs as pets. Infact mine sleep in my bed - my first champion hogs my pillow and always have. My hubby take Tara with him everywhere, even Home Depot. She pretty much does not leaves his side. Sure we let them play. My handler even figured out my one boy loves to play soccer. With wraps in they can do pretty much everything.
Have you seen dogs with the mohawks? I saw it on the news - pet section! The groomers in downtown does it if the owners want. Seems to be pretty popular.
