How much did he weigh when you got him? How much did the breeder feed him before you got him. One way to slow him down is to feed him by hand, and ther are also bowls that slow the fast gulpers down/. Puppies do go through growth spurts, so maybe he is stil hungry. Is he a really active pup?

How does his ribs feel and his spine? Is he boney, does he have a high tuck up by his loins? If he feels boney and has a high tuck up he might not be getting enough to eat. 6tsps. sounds small are you sure your breeder didn't say 6 tblsps a day ie : tablespoons and not teaspoons.
