We went to my grandfather's over Thanksgiving and he is so cute. He has a girlfriend. He is like a teenager. My grandmother has been gone for 4 1/2 years, and we are all so happy that he has someone to talk to, to keep him company and to keep him from getting so lonely. I answered the phone once when it rang and it was her, he went to his bedroom and talked to her. I'm just so happy that he has someone to talk to. The best part of it is that she and my grandmother were best friends growing up. So, I know that she is looking down on him with her approval.

He has also decided after the first of the year to sell his home. It is huge and with his macular degeneration it is just too much for him to take care of. His house has a finished basement, on next level is the utility room, bathroom off of the utility room, kitchen, dining room, living room, tv room, his bathroom, master bedroom, and upstairs there are 4 bedrooms and a bathroom, this all in the middle of 10 acres. I wish we had the money to buy the house and at least 2 acres of land but, I would say that it would be at least $300+. I'm really going to miss the house when it does sell, they built this house and cleared the land theirselves with the help of the family of course. They have been in that house for as long as I've been in GA 19 years now.

Anyway, we told him that as far as we were concerend it is his house and he should do exactly what he wants with it. That as long as he is living that's the way it is. There are 5 kids and I think they all told him basically that same thing. That it is his money and will be until the day he dies and he can do whatever he wants with it. Then I told my mom basically the same thing that when he does die that her share is hers to do with as she pleases and that we are not entitled to any of it until after something happens to her. Anyway sorry to get so morbid.

It will be hard going up there after he does sell it and spending time somewhere else.

Sorry for rambling on. I just wanted to let everyone know about his girlfriend, I didn't mean to go off on anything else.
