I don't mean the fun colors, I mean for show. How many show people dye their baby's hair to make it appear more standard?
I was searching youtube for a video on topknots and ran across one that demonstrates how to get a yorkie ready for show. They bathed her, and then proceded to dye her hair. The before shot looks nothing like the after, it's a completely different dog. I'm wondering if this is acceptable in the ring and common practice. As a pet owner only, I feel as though this practice is deceiving since one of the reasons you show is for approval of a dog for breeding. If their real coat color is hidden, isn't that similar to lying about your dog?
