I really know very little about Yorkie's coats and colors. My Yorkie is 13 weeks old

My little Yorkie pup's black hair has white/silver roots that are beginning to grow out. It is more noticeable every day. There is at least 1/4th inch of white or silver hair at the base of all his black hair over his back, neck, etc.

Is his hair changing to this color? I don't care what color he is, but aren't most Yorkies black - their backs, etc.
