Abusing animals is one step away from abusing children. BOTH are senseless and each should have a harsher punishment than what we see now.
I agree that being a vet he may have emotional issues & deserves to be not judged - but that's a huge anger and lack of self control issue and he most likely needs help with his problems. No one really knows the whole story - I read it and really didn't 'buy' the dog biting issue.
