Great post - I too am somewhat provoked by the idea of the perfect something. We are what we are, dogs and humand alike

Look at Golden Retrievers, attempts to breed the dog to perfection has caused the race to be untrustworthy and tormented by different diseases - at least in Denmark - it is so terrible. We are not God. God makes every living creature perfect from the beginning, so that's it.
But apart from that - why breed anything at all? Why do we have kids?
My idea on this is that we have a need to create something. And breeding dogs, painting pictures, having kids og saving the world like Mother Teresa, is creating something. Creating art, more humans, hope or puppies, it is all the same to me. And it's ok. And man has always wanted to test the limits of everything, maybe that's why some breed tiny dogs, to see if it can be done.
And yes, some breed for money, nothing wrong with that as long as the dogs are loved and cared for at the same time. I mean I want to make money from being a therapist - a lot of money. But at the same time I want to help people get a better life

If I do my job well, there's nothing wrong with that - in my opinion
